Alice Lanczos

Alice Lanczos is a native Washingtonian, born and raised in Aberdeen, now retired from more than 30 years of accounting and auditing for the City of Seattle.

Alice raised her sons during the 46 years she has lived in Madison Park and enjoys friendships with its interesting residents.

“You don’t have to be mad to live here, but it helps.”

Alice studied accounting at the UW, spending her Junior year in France at the Institute for American Universities, l’Universite d’Aix-Marseilles. She enjoys the art, culture, and nature Seattle offers and activities with her family and friends in Washington and abroad; travel to Europe remains a continued passion. Serving the Community Council provides satisfaction from improving Madison Park, and pleasure from building community with neighbors.
